Zest - Pondicherry

This has been pending since some time now. Let me see what i remember.

Recently, in March 2010, we (me and my wife) made a trip to Pondicherry. Climate was hot as usual. We had stayed at the Zest - Big beach resort. It is a wonderful place to stay.

Big beach Resort:
It is about 17km away from Pondicherry and a nice place to stay. What it offers is an almost private beach, a swimming pool with bar attached, good restaurant etc... I found it a little expensive for non-members though. You could easily spend a day here considering all the activities they have. Not sure if the activities take place all through the year. Activities include dancing, making sand sculptures, games etc...

Pondicherry:
First thing we did was to hire a two wheeler at Mission road, Pondicherry. Then we visited the Auroville. There are not many places to go around here, but you can easily spend 2 days. During the stay i suggest you try out the different cuisines served here in various restaurants. Not but the least Pondicherry is a very nice place to shop, especially leather products.
