Jog Falls - Shimoga
Drive to Shimoga from Bangalore was cool. Not much of traffic both the ways. We started around 5:30 am in the morning and a drive with lots of stops in between. We reached Shimoga around 12:30pm. We checked-in to a Hotel called Surya Comforts. This hotel has clean rooms, excellent service and best part it is very affordable. This hotel has a great restaurant too. After lunch, we drove towards Tyarekoppa Lion Safari, a great place to enjoy the unaltered nature and wildlife. The safari was very nice, you get to see lions, tigers and black buck. My wife loved the safari so much that we had to go for it one more time. We held a deer antler this time. After the safari, we lazed around for a while and drove back to hotel. Day 2 was a very long day. We drove to Jog falls, the highest waterfall in Karnataka. It is about 100 kms far from Shimoga. The drive is fantastic and picturesque. We did take a lot of pictures!
